This 27 ha lake is meant to receive nature-lovers and anglers. Fitness trail. You can also walk from there to the Ecopole du Forez.


Les Colons pond at Cléppé
The Fishing Federation created an educational trail with several information panels.


David’s Pond in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert
This wetland of European interest shelters a number of plant and animal species. Information panels help you understand the site.

Nature walks

Feurs-Ecopôle trail (Download the flyer)
A 7km trail goes from Feurs to the Ecopole du Forez along the banks of the Loire River. Accessible for everyone.
Access : The trail starts after the bridge over the Loire in Feurs. After 150m, turn left along the banks of the river. Car park.

The Gravel pit trail in Balbigny
A small educational tour around a former gravel pit along the Loire.


The Wild Forest trail in Montrond-les-Bains
An educational trail through the forests that grow along the river. You will learn about the forest and invasive plant species… Also a refreshing walk along the Loire.







The Colour Plant Garden in Essertines-en-Donzy
Discover the secrets of plants used in dyes, as was done in the Middle-Ages, through a guided tour (by appointment). This garden brings together about a hundred dyeing plants, a collection of ancient roses and an organic vegetable garden.
From 30 May to 30 September: open everyday (by appointment).

The Astrée Gardens of the Bâtie d’Urfé
Neighbouring the Bâtie d'Urfé, this garden belongs to the "Garden of Cocagne" net. This organic garden employs 18 people in precarious situation. The Gardens provide educational information about the site.
